Ian established the firm in 2005 after having identified a gap in the market for an independent corporate finance adviser to management teams.
Ian has over thirty years of corporate finance experience and has completed over 250 transactions. He is well known to both the corporate and private equity communities and has a wealth of transaction experience ranging from multi-billion pound cross border buyouts, to deals at the smaller end of the spectrum. Transactions include household names such as Vue Cinemas, Akzo Nobel, Miller Homes, Cognita, Neptune Oil & Gas, Intertrust and Phadia.
Prior to founding the firm in 2005, he was Chief Executive of Deloitte Corporate Finance and is a Chartered Accountant.
Email LinkedInStuart is CEO and is a founding partner of the firm. Stuart has over 20 years’ experience in private equity advisory and has completed over 200 transactions across the UK, US and Continental Europe. He leads advisory mandates spanning traditional private equity and alternative asset funds.
As well as supporting management teams on all aspects of capital structuring and deal terms, Stuart’s passion is to develop the firm’s global management advisory practice for combining local market knowledge with a global perspective.
Prior to Jamieson, Stuart was in the private equity advisory team at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte.
Stuart qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen and is a graduate with a BSc and Masters in Business Studies at Southampton University.
Email LinkedInTom joined the business in 2006 at the end of our first trading year and has since played a key role in developing the way we advise our clients. He has over 20 years M&A experience and has been leading advisory mandates for management teams and owner-managers for the past decade.
Acting across all sectors and European markets, Tom has completed over 100 transactions, with some of his best known deals including The NEC Group, PureGym, Envirotainer, Farrow & Ball and Pepe Jeans Group.
Prior to Jamieson Tom has worked as Finance Director of a group of travel technology businesses, before which he trained in the private equity lead advisory team at KPMG. He has a BA in Business Studies and Information Systems from the University of Sheffield.
Email LinkedInWith over 15 years’ experience in financial services John has worked on a broad range of transactions across multiple jurisdictions. He was based in New York for 3 years while he established the firm’s US business, which he continues to oversee as US CEO.
He has worked closely with management teams of mid-cap and large-cap sponsor to sponsor deals, public-to-private, infrastructure and carve-out transactions. Recent experience includes Mercer Advisors (US), Zoopla Plc (UK), Dept Agency (Nl), Godiva Japan (Jp), Cognita (UK) and Nouryon (Nl). He has also acted as lead adviser on the sale of a number of insurance distribution businesses in the UK and US, including Endeavour Insurance Services Ltd.
Additionally John is a member of the Board of Directors for the Royal Thames Yacht Club and Commodore Insurance Services, Inc.
John qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAS) while working with EY. He holds the Series 7, 24, and 79 licenses. And he graduated from the University of Southampton with a 1st in Computer Science (BSc) and a Masters in Accounting & Finance (MSc).
Email LinkedInAndrew has over 15 years’ corporate finance experience and has completed in excess of 100 transactions. Prior to joining Jamieson in January 2013, Andrew was in the M&A lead advisory team at Deloitte where he focused on the business services sector advising management teams, private equity houses and corporates on a range of transactions including disposals, acquisitions and refinancing.
Over the last 7 years Andrew has specialised in advising management teams on their incentive arrangements, often in conjunction with sale processes, P2Ps, IPOs and restructurings. Andrew has advised management teams on transactions with private equity, infrastructure, sovereign wealth and real estate funds across Europe and the North America.
Andrew trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte and is a graduate with a bachelor’s in Economics from The University of Manchester.
Email LinkedInJonny is a qualified Chartered Accountant and joined the firm from Grant Thornton’s M&A team. He has worked with numerous Boards and Management teams advising in a buy-side, sell-side and restructuring capacity before specialising in advising on management incentive plan arrangements in the US and UK. He currently leads our US office.
Jonny has also carried out a secondment to the business support unit investment team in Lloyds Bank helping to structure capital reorganisations.
He obtained a BA in Philosophy from the University of Durham and also holds the US FINRA Investment Banking Series 79 and 63 licenses.

David is currently head of our UK mid-market practice. In 2021, he advised management teams on transactions including Content + Cloud (Sale to Advania / Goldman Sachs), Pirum (Bowmark/HG Capital co-investment), CFC Underwriting (buyout with Vitruvian Partners & EQT Partners), Rayner (CVC Capital Partners) and Babble Cloud (Graphite Capital).
He is also experienced in M&A lead advisory and has acted for shareholders on the sale of several mid-market UK businesses including Anthesis Consulting (Palatine ESG fund) and Endeavour Insurance Services (JC Flowers).
He is a qualified chartered accountant and previously worked at Barclays Capital and Cavendish Corporate Finance.

Stephen has over 10 years’ experience of advising on mergers and acquisitions and private equity backed transactions and has completed over 80 management advisory projects. He has particular experience in advising management teams on public-to-private transactions as well as infrastructure and long-term asset deals.
Recent experience includes advising the management teams of Ideagen plc on the take-private by Hg, Morrisons plc on the take-private by CD&R, PTSG in connection with the investment by Warburg Pincus and Macquarie and Norgine Europe B.V in connection with the investment by Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Stephen is a qualified solicitor and previously worked in the private equity teams at Latham & Watkins and Dickson Minto where he acted for both leading private equity houses and management teams.

Prior to joining Jamieson, Michael was a senior partner at the international law firm of Proskauer Rose, where at various times he co-chaired the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice and chaired the Tax Department.
Mike has over 40 years of experience and knowledge in the executive compensation and employee benefits areas, where he frequently represented companies, boards and senior executives in all types of matters, including executives and management teams in private equity deals and other merger and acquisition transactions.
Mike is the co-editor/co-author of the treatise “Executive Compensation”. Mike also holds the Series 63 and 79 licenses.

Prior to EY, he had spent over 20 years as an investment banker and executed a wide range of transactions including acquisitions, sales, divestitures, restructurings, and public and private financings.
He received a B.S. degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a joint M.B.A./M.I.A. from Columbia University.
Mark holds Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses.
EmailEileen’s contribution to the team is based on many years of practical corporate finance experience. She has completed numerous acquisitions and disposals and worked extensively with private equity funds, with a specialism in healthcare.
She has a degree in Biological Sciences and worked for seven years in the pharmaceutical industry. She then completed an MBA at London Business School, prior to moving into Deloitte Corporate Finance, where she became a Partner.
Eileen worked in an executive capacity in the early stages of Jamieson before taking on the role of non-executive Chairman.

Prior to Jamieson, Jose spent thirteen years at Bank of America, latterly as MD and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking in Spain, before moving into PE with ABN AMRO Capital as Co-head of the Spanish team.
Since 2010 he has worked as an independent consultant advising on corporate strategy and restructuring.
José has a BS in Economics and an MBA from IESE and The Wharton School.

Prior to Jamieson, Felix was Managing Partner of MPTransaction GmbH from 2008. Between 2001 until 2007 at Cinven, latterly Managing Director of Cinven GmbH. Prior to that he was at Morgan Stanley Investment banking (Mergers & Acquisitions) and has a degree in Business Administration from Universität Passau (Dipl. Kaufmann).

Prior to Jamieson he worked in the field of Compensation & Benefits (both as a consultant and an inhouse specialist) and Banking (at ABN AMRO, servicing small/medium sized enterprises). In his last role, as Compensation & Benefits Director at Nouryon, he was involved (as a client) in the transaction where Jamieson supported AkzoNobel with the sale of its Specialty Chemicals business (Nouryon) to Carlyle and GIC.
Pieter graduated with an MSc in Financial Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Prior to Jamieson Gus worked at Beauhurst, a research company that specialises in tracking high growth businesses, their shareholders, investors and management teams.
Gus is a CFA® charterholder and graduated with a BA in History from the University of Oxford in 2015.

Recent transactions in the DACH region include Deutsche Glasfaser (sale to EQT/OMERS), ALL4Labels (Sale to Triton), Cartonplast (Sale to DBAG) and IFCO (Sale to Triton/ADIA). Recent transactions in the UK include Ontic (Sale to CVC) and Tarsus (P2P to Charterhouse).
Prior to Jamieson, Daniel worked at Goldman Sachs in both London and Frankfurt as part of their Regulatory Capital/Credit Risk Team. Daniel qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) at Goldman Sachs and graduated with a BSc in Politics & Economics from the University of Bath.

Prior to Jamieson, Sabrina worked at SFA, a Boston-based buyout fund, where she assisted the team in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligences and executing transactions.
Sabrina graduated with an MSc in Economics and Finance from The University of Hohenheim and an MSc in International Business from HBS in Boston.

Prior to Jamieson, Jack has worked at EdirectInsure Group as a venture development analyst in Hong Kong, and at Silicon Valley Bank as part of their venture and growth capital team in London.
Jack graduated with a MSc in Management from Imperial College London and holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Alexander has passed all levels of the CFA and may be awarded the charter on completion of the required work experience. He graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and then gained an MSc in Finance and Economics from the University of St Andrews.
